A Fish for My Sisterby ~Flynn-the-cat

EDIT Undimmed the goldfish, on advice and after recosideration.

Soooo, What do YOU call a pregnant goldfish?

I showed my sister the 'mutual thing' series by =Apofiss

and she adored them and wanted me to draw her something like it.
It's almost directly inspired by those works, so the concept isn't mine in any way.

I'm not happy with it, exactly, but I'm struggling with the most basic elements (shape of heads at certain angles... blending the paint - it got too thick and was producing smears) and decided to stop.
I do like parts of it - the cat, the light through the water, and I got to experiment with
ArtRage a bit more.

This took 3-4 hours, but I will have to try again. It will have to be a new picture though, as this one is too decided to change now.

Just wonderful. I love the colors, the idea, the sprakling parts in here. I'm not so much into digital paitings, so I'm sorry for not giving advanced critique, but I can at least say that I love it!

Heh,thank you, it's wonderful to hear you love it - and critique can be anything (colour, composition, lacking/busy, something badly drawn...) so please don't be put off by that! (Uh, not actually having any critique to give is different, of course, but please don't let 'digital' put you off)
