Description

~Nickelpat's kiriban
This is not finished. And look - scifi stuff! Please crit

* but not on the lack of face/hands/gun, except possibly on position based on what's there...

(I intend to:
add face and hands
tidy up bubble, and thin the white line edge away from the reflection
Possibly extend the canvas further up
add to the dragonswarm in the background)

I'm uploading it now because my newish computer just crashed; and I can't finish it. I manage to get back into my old computer, and had emailed a backup jpeg to myself...

But it may be tomorrow, it may be a month, before it works again and I'm all psyched up to finish it and post...

Time: last three nights (6-8 hours)
Tools: ArtRage 2.5
Half with my old tablet, and half with my new Wacom (incidentally?:heart:!!)

I really love your use of the stars as a background, it adds a nice layer to the piece. The form of the bubbles is amazing, and I like their layout.

What I don't understand is the placement of the body. It seems rather awkward, and doesn't quite match the style of the rest of the work. It's possible that you're intending to fix that up a bit? I wasn't sure from your artist comments.

I almost would say place the figure more prominently in the picture. But that might change the entire focus of the picture.

I really enjoy the dragons(?) though, they have a very iconic feeling.

I would suggest more of them, or maybe simply placing them more towards the center of the picture. And as you already noted in your artist comments tidying up the figure would do a lot for the piece overall.
