My RedBubble Gallery Edit Entire description rewritten and removed large and unnecessary areas of black around figure which didn't help and just made her harder to see. Follow up piece: ![]() Quite an old image now - painted in ArtRage with a tablet. It was originally just practice drawing light and fire and using the tools, then became a figure drawing practice. Took about half an hour. Ended up being surprisingly popular. Has a LOT of problems in the anatomy - some because it was a quick sketch, some because of artistic licence to make her more flamelike, but most simply due to terrible knowledge of anatomy. As such, because I KNOW what all the problems are and because it was one of my best pictures for so long (and therefore has emotional value) I've discouraged criticism. If you want to say something you can, but it probably isn't relevant anymore. (I tried to fix the problems but that would really mean repainting the entire image, they're too much a part of her). This picture also marks the start of my passionate and obsessive love affair with the soft palette knife tool. I am slowly weaning myself away, and exploring other tools and techniques but ... well. It began with her. Comments
This is simply fantastic. Fire come to life.
