WaterReborn? Help please?by ~Flynn-the-cat

Been edging up to this for a while... a possible reworking of Waterborn

Considering it's (the DD aside) the most popular piece in my gallery, there is some understandable nervousness >.>

Critique is very very much wanted. The left hand side is the original sketch and the sketch on the right is this evening's notion.
In progress: colour base at two hours [link]

As you can see, I'm actually drawing a proper face this time

I think I'd like to make the new one larger, and get a lot more of the wings in. We'll see. If my shiny new laptop with lots of RAM arrives soon, then I will. (My computer is already lagging. ALREADY. IT'S STILL A LINEART >.< )

And look! I drew over it with a ink pen tool, for all those people who can't make sense of my sketches... _{i.e. everyone...}

Using ArtRage

Pencil settings: med-dark grey, metallic about 50%, tilt of about 6%

Time: about an hour.

Oh, and if anyone actually wants to download and colour either or both, go ahead (just leave the signature on and credit me etcetera)
