The little mermaid story, obviously. Although not the Disney version, the Hans Christian Andersen version, in which they're a little wilder and more ethereal, and she dissolves into foam at the end.
This was quite fun, I played with very washed out paint for the water and foam, it needs less blending after. The tail is metallic paint, the hair is a mix. The eyes were annoying.
Quite similar to this old sketch n style, but - while I considered colouring - I felt I wanted to do something with more feeling, more life...
Awesome colours and flow, although her face looks a bit weird. Although, it certainly fits with the abstract style of the painting. And, completely unrelated, how do you get that bar in your artists' comments?
